The Registration for the Ehsaas Rashan program started in 2022 as soon as the Chief Minister announced the subsidy of Rs. 100 billion to more than 8 million deserving people of the country. Before that update, the process of the Ahsas Rashan program was different and people would get raiyat on selected grocery items as part of the ration program.

Rashan cards were distributed on which registered beneficiaries could get a 40% discount on selected grocery items in the registered Karyana stores of the country. This discount was given as a part of subsidy to the beneficiaries.
